
Angwamo (Ghanaian Oil Rice)
A simple yet flavourful traditional rice dish often served with fried eggs, sardines, or pepper sauce.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups rice
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 3 cups water
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a pot and sauté onions until lightly browned.
- Add washed rice and stir for a minute to coat with oil.
- Pour in water and add salt.
- Cover and cook until the rice is soft and fluffy.
- Serve with fried eggs, shito, or grilled fish.
